Who is she?

Lyssa most recently lived in Iceland. She’s currently staying in a cabin in the Rocky Mountains. She loves to travel, experience new cultures, share life with family and close friends. She has eclectic interests, such as permaculture ranching, regenerative agriculture, and natural building techniques. She likes techy, engineering things.

She likes anything creative or artistic from architectural flourishes to edible things like fermented carrot slices and sourdough bread. Lyssa is fascinated by the world around her. She paints, she gardens, and received a Batchelor Degree in Music Performance.

She's part of the U.S. Diplomatic Corps by day and a writer by night.

Writing:

Lyssa started writing in 2006. On one particular dark and rainy night—yes it was actually dark and rainy :)—in October, she wandered into her local Barnes & Noble bookstore on 86th & Broadway (NYC). She ambled, up and down the isles, perusing the books by her favorite authors, hoping she'd find something new to read.

An epiphany struck her as she looked at the rows of books from a favorite author. She realized she had her own stories to tell.

Stories, that she'd been telling herself for years already. Stories that wanted to be written down.

So she turned around and headed for the self-help section where she loaded up on story-telling books. A couple months later and the first draft of Analindë was born. The Chronicles of Lóresse soon followed.

She’s been writing the stories brimming out of her head ever since.
